[1] Election were initially scheduled for December 2018 and were later scheduled for early 2019 but have been indefinitely deferred due to the ongoing civil war.     

[2] Term of the current council was renewed by an Emiri Decree on 17 June 2016[2] and it ended on 30 June 2019

[3] The council was reconstituted through a Royal Decree issued on 2 December 2016.

[4] New dates have not been announced.
