Mushtaq Hussain is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi, where he teaches international relations and political theory. He is also serves as Adjunct Faculty (Diplomacy) at the Indian Society for International Law (ISIL- Indian Academy of International Law and Diplomacy), teaching international relations and diplomacy for the PG Diploma programme in International Law and Diplomacy.

He obtained his Ph D., in West Asian Studies from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, specializing on Palestinian Politics. He was the recipient of the Israel Government Scholarship in 2012-13. His research interests include Israel-Palestinian conflict, role of religion in international relations, diplomacy in West Asia, etc. He has contributed to various MEI publications including MEI Remembers, Pakistan Watch, India Watch and India Speaks.
