  • 3 September 2012- Round table in collaboration with India International Centre where Dr. Jon Alterman, (Director, Middle East Programme, CSIS, Washington, DC) spoke on China and the Middle East with Mr. Mohan Guruswamy (ORF) as the discussant. Comdr. C Uday Bhaskar (MEI@ND) chaired the event.
  • 11 April 2012- Data base on Arab Spring launched.
  • 18 March 2012- MEI@ND crossed one million hits since the launching of the re-designed site in May 2011.
  • 2 January 2012-Second meeting of the Academic Council of the MEI@ND was held in IIC.
  • 10 November 2011- In partnership with Jamsetji Tata Centre for Disastrous Management, Tata Insitute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai MEI@ND held a workshop on Challenges to Conflict Resolution: A Focus on the Dynamics in the Middle East during 10-12 November in TISS, Mumbai. Headed by the Honorary Director, the team comprised of four researchers of MEI@ND.
  • 28 October 2011- The MEI@ND organized its first public event, a panel discussion on India and Arab Spring: Implications and Option .  The panelists were Ambassador Chinmaya R Gharekhan, Dr. Arvind Gupta (IDSA), Prof. A K Pasha (JNU) and Commodore C Uday Bhaskar. This event was in collaboration with India International Centre.
