Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Ali Reza Haghighian called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah Khan and discussed matters of mutual interests.

2. First round of bilateral political consultations between Pakistan and Kuwait
Islamabad, Tuesday, 8 October 2013
The first round of bilateral political consultations between Pakistan and Kuwait were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the two sides agreed to diversify and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest including promotion of investments, regular holding of Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting and completion of development projects under Kuwait Fund. It was also recommended that linkages between the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Ministry of Labour of Kuwait may be established.

3. Saudi Arabia committed support to Pakistan’s candidate at OIC
Islamabad, Tuesday, 1 October 2013
Saudi Arabia had endorsed the candidature of Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan, Pakistan’s Envoy in Riyadh and Permanent Representative to OIC in Jeddah, for the post of Assistant Secretary General from the Asian region at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Several other countries from OIC supported the decision.

4. President called on Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz
Jeddah, Thursday, 17 October 2013
President Mamnoon Hussain called on King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia and congratulated him for being elected as the President of Pakistan. The President expressed gratitude for welcome and hospitality during his visit to Saudi Arabia.

5. Saudi Arabia to help Pakistan in polio eradication
Islamabad, Tuesday, 29 October 2013
Saudi Health Minister Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, during his speech at the session of the Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean Region Office (EMRO) of the World Health Organization, announced that the Kingdom would support the polio campaign in Pakistan in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO).

11. Ebad for Turkish investment in Pakistan

Sindh Governor Ishrat ul Ebad Khan asked for Turkish investment in Pakistan to help meet the economic challenges while talking to a Turkish delegation of investors and representatives of the non-government organizations. The Governor also called for collaboration in agriculture, livestock, energy and infrastructure development etc.

12. Turkish Embassy, LCCI to expedite bilateral trade

Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Turkish Embassy decided to establish a new mechanism to further trade between the two countries. The decision was made between the Turkish Ambassador S. Babur Girgin and the LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari.

15. Turkish Airlines to start new flight from Lahore

During his meeting with Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid, Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan S. Babur Girgin said that Turkish Airlines would start flights from Lahore, in addition to Islamabad and Karachi in near future. Both also discussed areas of mutual interest, bilateral ties, and cooperation in various fields.
