5. China welcomes UN resolution on Iraq

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that China welcomed a recent UNSC resolution on Iraq that eased some of the previous sanctions against Iraq. It also urged the Iraqi government to continue searching for Kuwaiti nationals and property missing since its 1990 invasion.

14. China seizes 22,320 fake guns bound for Africa
Beijing, Monday, 29 July 2013
Chinese authorities have confiscated 22,230 fake guns bound for Africa, the greatest amount seized in this year, according to the official data. According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), the guns were concealed in 414 cases of plastic toys bound for Egypt.
