Dattesh D. Parulekar is an Assistant Professor in International Relations and Strategic Studies at the Department of International Relations, School of International and Area Studies, Goa University. Over a decade long experience in pedagogy, erudition and consultancy, his areas of specialization span India’s foreign policy and diplomacy, strategic maritime affairs, West Asian security, political economy of Latin America, etc. A former Fulbright Fellow, he researched conflict management and resolution, in pursuance of his thesis with a Scholar-in-Residence stint at Conflict Management Centre, of the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, Washington DC.

He is a visiting faculty at most national defence institutions, namely, Naval War College @ INS Mandovi, Goa; Defence Services Staff College, Wellington; College of Defence Management and College of Air Warfare (Secunderabad); Indian Naval Academy (Kochi); and Army War College (Mhow). He is also associated with myriad universities, think-tanks and policy institutes both within and outside india. He is an Advisory Board member of the Kathmandu-based think-tank, the Asian Institute for Diplomacy and International Affairs and an advisor to the Bengaluru-based strategic consultancy firm COVINTS.
