... for openness and credibility....

In continuation of the Persian Gulf Series, the MEI is launching a new series on India and the wider Middle East. This would focus on India’s relations with countries of North Africa(Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia) and the Fertile Crescent (Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria).

While the Series seeks to trace, analysis and examine India’s relations since 1947, individual chapters would be narrower, covering a specific time-frame (Cold War, post-Cold War, etc.,), leadership (Indian or the other country) or issues (economic, political, strategic or cultural).

Tentatively we are looking at 30 September as the date of submission of chapter. Word length is around 7,000 words.

If you are interested please send a short 100-word abstract identifying the focus of your chapter to

Last date for the submission of abstract is 30 April
